Retraced records your own Discord behaviour and turns it into statistics, inside the client — when you chat, how long you hesitate before sending, who reaches out first, the words you lean on. It all stays on your device.

Nothing leaves

No servers, no error reporting, no CDN bundles. The build is tested to contain no network calls, and the source is public so you don't have to take our word for it.

A kill switch that means it

Turn off content storage and Retraced stops keeping text and erases what it already stored — your counts and charts survive.

Yours to keep, yours to shred

Export everything to one JSON file and import it back. Wipe it all, one person, a date range, or stored text only.

Overview — where your messages go: Sankey, streamgraph, an activity calendar
Rhythm — the radial clock, your week hour by hour, session lengths
Hesitation — typed and then deleted: where, at whom, how often
People — who reaches out first, who replies faster, your circle
Content — the words you lean on, message lengths, full-text search of your history
Voice — minutes in voice and who you actually share them with

Install

Install BetterDiscord.
Download Retraced.plugin.js into your plugins folder — %appdata%\BetterDiscord\plugins on Windows, or open it from Settings → Plugins → Open Plugins Folder.
Enable Retraced, then press Ctrl+Shift+H anywhere in Discord.

Charts fill in as you chat. The first week is quiet; the first month is honest.
